Перед DPC 2021/2021 Алексей присоединился к NAVI.
Первые два сезона команда провалила, заняв в первом 5-е место, а во втором не справилась с CIS Rejects. В летнем сезоне все поменялось – «Рожденные побеждать» заняли 2-е место в лиге и отправились на PGL Arlington Major. Команде Соло было нужно занимать минимум топ-3, чтобы DPC-очков хватило для попадания на TI 2022. Но ребята заняли предпоследнее место в группе и отправились домой.

Заняв третье место на Восточноевропейских квалификациях на TI, команда поехала на Last Chance Qualifier – последний вариант хоть как-то попасть на Инт. Но и там не удалось. После победы в группе NAVI отлетели в первом раунде верхней сетки от T1 с Топсоном и Аной, а потом после легкой победы над Tempest проиграли Xtreme Gaming. Этот Инт Алексей провел в качестве таланта студии аналитики.

Скандал, изменивший все

RoX, а потом RoX. KIS была средней командой и боролась за выход в плей-офф стадии Starladder. В очередном подобном сезоне произошел поворотный момент в карьере Березина.

Alexey’s first serious hobby was football. As a child, he was a striker for the Novorossiysk club Chernomorets. But the injuries, although not too serious, put an end to a possible career as a football player. Alexey, following the example of his father, wanted to become a lawyer, but it did not work out. “The mood was for high places. We were ready to beat any team and were not nervous at all. I only experienced pressure in the final, and it was pressure that I put on myself. After the Kyiv Major, Solo’s drafts were criticized for being «one-sided». In July 2017, the team again became the champion of The Summit. In response to claims of one-sidedness, players challenged themselves to play each game on a different hero, not repeating themselves until the grand finals. So they took 81 heroes out of 117 possible at that moment
. Only in the grand final against Team Secret, I had to repeat myself in order to definitely win and secure a direct invite to TI 2017.

At Inta, the team performed well in the group, taking third place after Newbee and LGD. Forever young. Having advanced to the upper bracket, VP defeated LGD, and then fell to the lower bracket after losing to LFY.

And then the legendary VP-Liquid match happened. More than three hours of magnificent equal Dota, after which the monstrous Team Liquid swept away everyone on the way, having issued the first victory with a score of 3-0 in the grand final with Newbee. And the Solo team remained in 5-6th place, not meeting expectations.

After Inta, the guys went to Hamburg for the first major of the season. After defeating Liquid, the team took first place in the group, and then defeated Newbee and Team Secret — and won their first Major. Unlike everyone else, Solo gave an amazing performance of an absolutely not greedy five on the signature Bane and Ogre Magi. For an excellent game and captaincy, Alexei was awarded the MVP of the tournament and a Mercedes worth up to $50,000.

After a 5th-6th place at ESL One Genting early next year, the team decided to trade Lil for Roger. Of course, such an event could not but turn into a scandal. Solo spoke on the stream about parting with Ilya and how hard it was for captain VP:

“As you know, I went on vacation. And the reason for my vacation was a critical moment during the DreamLeague, but I could not then take responsibility and leave Lil. After that, VP stayed in the top of the best teams in the world all year long, winning ESL One Katowice and Bucharest Major. Solo found amazing synergy and understanding with the new four. But at the next TI, it did not surpass last year’s result — the team again took 5-6th place, losing to EG in the relegation match.

Until the next Inta VP again smashed the whole world, constantly taking high places in major tournaments, and Solo shone again. Solo instilled in the team the mindset «We are gods, everyone else is nobody», and the team began to be called rock stars because of their image, behavior and eccentricity.

And then at TI9, the Bears failed, taking only 9-12th place. After that, the «Golden Composition» fell apart.

Current season
