ESL One Berlin Major 2023 — второй мейджор рейтингового сезона DPC 2022-2023 годов. Соревнование пройдет c 26 апреля по 7 мая в LAN-формате в Берлине, а организацией ивента займется европейский турнирный оператор Electronic Sports League (или ESL). Плей-офф турнира будет сыгран на арене Velodrom.
Как и на первом мейджоре сезона, в ESL One Berlin Major примут участие 18 команд, среди которых — лучшие коллективы из каждого из 6 соревновательных регионов по итогам второго тура рейтинговых лиг. Распределение слотов также не поменялось: по 4 слота на получили Западная Европа и Китай, по 3 — Юго-Восточная Азия и Восточная Европа, а по 2 — Северная и Южная Америка.
Формат берлинского мейджора подразумевает групповую стадию с круговой системой, где команды сыграют друг с другом в best-of-2-матчах, после чего лучшие коллективы сразятся в плей-офф с сеткой double-elimination.
Призовой фонд ESL One Berlin Major 2023 составит $500 000 — эта сумма будет разделена между 8 лучшими коллективами. Также на мейджоре в Берлине разыграют 2700 очков Dota Pro Circuit, которые также достанутся только восьмерке лучших команд.
The Format
ESL Pro Tour Dota 2 2023 будет разделен на три части, а именно DreamLeague Season 19, DreamLeague Season 20 и Riyadh Masters 2023. Матчи начнутся в середине апреля и продлятся до конца июля.

Перерыв в более чем месяц между Season 19 и Season 20 связан с проведением The Berlin Major, а также матчами в рамках первых дивизионов DPC 2023 Tour 3. Формат и участники
DreamLeague Season 19 пройдет в три этапа: первая групповая стадия, вторая групповая стадия и плей-офф. В первой групповой стадии 16 команд сыграют в двух группах формата Round-Robin. Все матчи будут сыграны в виде bo2 серии. Команды, попавшие в топ-4, пройдут во второй групповой этапа. Остальные участники покидают турнир.
Второй групповой этап будет представлен одной группой формата Round-Robin, где 8 команд будут сражаться в bo3 матчах. Коллективы, которые займут места с 1-го по 2-е, получат слот в верхней сетке плей-офф. 3-е и 4-е места отправятся в нижнюю сетку, а оставшиеся клубы закончат свое выступление в рамках DreamLeague Season 19.
Заключительная стадия турнира пройдет в сетке Double-Elimination при участии 4-х команд. Два коллектива начнут в верхней сетке, а два в нижней. Формат матчей — bo3, а гранд-финал будет сыгран в виде bo5 серии.

Можно предположить, что формат проведения DreamLeague Season 20 будет схож с DreamLeague Season 19. Больше подробностей ESL не оглашали.
The final part of the ESL Pro Tour Dota 2 2023 will be the Riyadh Masters series tournament, namely Riyadh Masters 2023, which is part of the large-scale Gamers8 gaming festival. Riyadh Masters 2023 will also be held in three stages: Play-In, group stage and playoffs. In the Play-In stage, 12 teams will play, which will be divided into 2 groups of the Round-Robin format with bo2 matches. The top 2 of each group advance to the group stage of the tournament.
The teams that took 3rd and 4th places in the group will play against the teams from the 5th and 6th places of the opposite group. The winner of each match also advances to the group stage. In the group stage of Riyadh Masters 2023, 16 teams will play, which will be divided into 2 pots of 8 teams each. Matches in groups will be held in the Round-Robin format with bo2 matches.
The final stage of the tournament will be played in the Double-Elimination bracket. Teams that take places from 1st to 4th in the group stage will advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs, while the 5th and 6th places will start their journey from the lower bracket. A total of 12 teams will take part in the playoffs. All matches, except for the Grand Final, will be played in bo3 format. The champion of Riyadh Masters 2023 will be determined based on the results of the bo5 series.
Prize pool
In total, within DreamLeague Season 19, participants will fight for an impressive prize pool of $1,000,000. DreamLeague Season 20 will receive the same prize money and a similar distribution

In addition to generous prize money, the champion of DreamLeague Season 19 will get a ticket to Riyadh Masters 2023. The prize pool of Riyadh Masters 2023 is also known. The final tournament of the ESL Pro Tour Dota 2 2023 will offer the strongest teams to fight for $15,000,000 in prize money. This is the largest prize fund in the framework of events from third-party organizers and the second after the tournaments of The International series from Valve. For comparison, at the Riyadh Masters 2022, the teams competed for $4,000,000, which even then seemed like a huge amount.
